Memorial Day!

Spokane Falls/river

Shane and I had a wonderful Memorial Day. First we went to see Star Trek, which was way better then I expected. I highly recommend seeing the movie. It was great! Then we went to River Front Park to see the falls. It is so pretty. It's very high and runs very fast. After walking around the park we went to dinner at Olive Garden. The food was so good! It was nice to have a day together of fun.
I also found out some very exciting news that my brother Andy's baby girl was born. Her name is Jaymee Lynn. She weighed 6lbs 18 inches long.

kitty and update
Shane and I both just got callings last week. I was called as the Relief Society Chorister. Shane was called as physical facility assistant. I enjoy my calling.
Shane was accepted into his master program at EWU studying Urban Planning. He will start in the fall. It is a 2 year program. I am very proud of him!
Mother's Day!!!

I had a nice mother's day. Shane surprised me with my favorite flowers Gerber daisies. Church was really good we had nice musical numbers in sacrament and talks. I was able to talk to my mom and most my siblings. I made Shane call his mom. I talked to my mother in law too.
I have been thinking a lot today about my mom of course but also about the soon to be mom's. There are a lot in the family that are expecting. I can't wait to be a mom, but I think that is a few years down the road. I've also thought about the women who struggle to have children and how hard today must be for them. I'm so glad I was able to bless one Women to be able to be a Mother. I have grown so much over the last 5 years. I miss Spencer and my heart goes out to the Women that are struggling to have children and the Women that are missing the children they could have raised but chose to give him/her more than they could give them.

Shane and I just celebrated our One Year Anniversary this last weekend. We stayed at a motel right over Banks Lake. We were in the Grand Coulee Dam area. It was so pretty. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We were able to have some alone time in the hot tub. I love hot tubs they are so relaxing! We had some nice food at the cafe's in the area. It's a very small area and things shut down basically by 8 or 9pm. I thought that was a little odd. We walked on the bridge over the Dam and read all the historical things along the way. We then walked through the park near there. We drove a bit to see Dry falls. It use one of the biggest water falls until it dried up. It is still a beautiful place to visit though. We also went bowling. We had never played together but had always wanted to. We each won a game but we both are not very good. We still had fun though. We went to the Grand Coulee Dam visitor center and then went to a walking trail that ran by banks lake. it was a great time and a beautiful area.
