visiting Heidi

I was able to visit Heidi today with my mom and dad. It was good to see her. We had a long visit 2+ hours. We got this cute cadberry Bunny for Jaymee and thought it would make Heidi laugh. Instead it makes me laugh like a "keebler elf" and everyone just laughs at me. Here is the video and picture from our visit.

Happy 7th birthday to Spencer.

My friend Jeni was sweet and got me this cake.

hours old. such a sweet baby.

Cute family photo.

Spencer loves Spider-man right now. This is what I sent him for his birthday.

My birth son turned 7 today. It's amazing to think it has already been 7 years. He is such a happy boy. I celebrated yesterday since his birthday landed on Sunday. I hung out with my friend Jeni and met two other birth moms and an adoptive mom. We watched an adoption movie, visited and shared Spencer's birthday cake that my friend Jeni got for me. It was so great to be with other women who understand me. I went to Jeni's house after and hung out and watched a video of Spencer when he was 5months-year. This weekend I also watched his hospital video and placement video which is tradition for me. My husband was nice to take me out to dinner to Azteca even though he was sick. It was a great day yesterday. Today I haven't really done much other than church stuff and I have been sad and missing Spencer. I hope he had a good birthday and enjoys his present.

one year older

Yesterday was my 28th birthday! It was an amazing day. I felt so loved and was very spoiled. I went to work and was surprised by a beautiful plant, card and candy sitting on my desk. I was treated to lunch by a coworker, got more candy from another friend at work, socks and a yummy piece of cake. i was shocked that I got so much from my coworkers!

I went to Dinner at this place with my husband. It was a very fancy restaurant. My meal looked so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it. It was chicken stuffed with goat cheese. very good!

We tried to go to tangled but it wasn't showing. Instead we saw this movie. I was surprised how much I liked it.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm sure I'll love it!

christmas and new years

All our presents.

Shane surprised me with Shrek 3!

presents

Our Christmas tree. The cats loved it and stole most the ornament's.

We went to Shane's parents for Christmas this year. Christmas eve night we went to Shane's cousins church. Victoria played the with the bell ringers and also the violin. She did so well. It was different for me to go to another church. I liked singing Christmas songs and loved the candle light vigil while we sang silent night. I made my families traditional home made clam chowder with some help. It turned out pretty good. Christmas we opened our presents/stockings. We had a great breakfast with snowflake pancakes! We went to Uncle Norm's house for the rest the day and have more great food, visiting, lots of games. It was a very nice holiday. We had to come back Sunday. Thanks to Shane's parents for a lovely holiday with great memories.
We had a nice New Year's Eve. We went to the new Narnia movie in 3d. I really enjoyed it as I have read the books. Then we walked around at first night for a bit. We saw a juggler, dancers, skiing, a huge Christmas tree and a balloon shaped dragon! It was freezing and we were hungry so we went to Olive Garden and had a delicious dinner. We came home and watched the ball drop on TV in New York. We also saw some of the fireworks from downtown. Our poor cats got scared.
I hope all our family and friends had a great Christmas and Happy New Year. May this year bring you blessings and health.
Our goal is to both be healthier and lose weight. I need to get a regular job. Shane's is to graduate in June and hopefully get a planning job soon after. This year should be interesting.

what we did in October and update

My friend Jeni and Me. I gave her this rose.
Jeni I met online through a friends blog. She is a birth mom as well. She placed her daughter a year ago. I went to celebrate her daughters first birthday to be a support to her.

We went to Chili's on the anniversary of Decision Day.

My friend Jen and Everett

Jen and I.

I went to a football game for Cheney High school. My friend Chrissy's daughter plays in the band. Cheney won by a long shot. It was fun catching up with Chrissy and Jen. They are both friends I met when I worked at Premera. We met Everett for the first time. He is so cute and a good baby. It was a fun night.
Shane has been very busy with school. He has a lot of group projects. We went to his Planning annual chili cook-off on November 5th. The food was great. We talked to some of his classmates. They also had a band all of the members are in the planning field. It was a fun night.
I have been working at Health Services Northwest doing medical billing. I started 2 months ago. It is through a temp agency. I hope that it will last till January. It's a good job.
I got a new calling. I am in the nursery. I'm excited and nervous. I think it will be fun to play with the little kids.

Sealing

Provo Temple September 18, 2010

view of Utah Lake

Beautiful temple grounds

My cute parents. I'm so proud of them for making it to the temple. My mom was my escort along with Heidi. Dad and Jeremy were Shane's escorts as well as our witness to our sealing.

Shane and I with our escorts. It was so special to have most of my family with us to share this special day.

The whole group: Left to right Jesse, Laura, Alicia, Ken, Jeffrey, Kellie, Byron, Shane, Jen, Dad, Candice, Mom, Nicole Heidi, Jeremy, Chris, Cherise, Blaine. I'm glad I was able to share this day with so much family. I know the ones that were unable to make it were there in heart. I am grateful for the wonderful family that I have. They are supportive and loving. I love you all! Thanks for sharing this day with us!

Just after getting sealed for eternity. I'm so happy to have Shane as my husband.
Shane and I were married civiling in Lehi, Utah April 4, 2004. Shane is a convert and had to get his priesthood before we could go through the temple. We had a goal to go through the temple as soon as we could. We took temple prep classes twice. We had a lot of support from our bishop, home teacher, visiting teacher, missionaries, family and ward. We finally made it to our goal to become a Forever Family on September 18, 2010. It was a beautiful day, one I will always remember. I'm glad we were able to share this day with family and loved ones.
I loved inititories the most. It was so neat to see everyone dressed in white. The spirit was strong. I was confused mostly during the endowment session. I hope to go back soon and learn more and feel the spirit. I liked our sealer and what he had to say. The mirrors were so neat to see go on and on. It was a great experience.
