Update

We have had a busy few weeks. Shane is very busy with school and accepted a job to help with the 2010 census. He had training this last week. He will be going door to door to people who did not turn in their form. He will be very busy as he is taking 18 credits in school right now and will be working about 20 hours a week. I hope he can handle it.

I finally got a job! I work at Rockwood Clinic as a receptionist in the contact Center. I have been there for 3 weeks. I absolutely love my job. It is not stressful. Everyone is nice and helpful. My bosses are so easy to talk to. I'm so glad to have a job. I am happier and not as stressed.

I had to have an emergency dental appointment on Thursday. My front top tooth has been hurting me for a week. The X ray did not show any signs of a cavity or anything. The dentist did an exam and said it is borderline needing a root canal. He put me on some anti-biotic and pain pills and is hoping it will feel better as I don't have dental insurance until August.

I had a super fun girls night Friday. I went to my friend Chrissy's house. She lives on 11 acre farm. My friend Jen also came. We got to pet goats and they had two sets of new babies that were so cute! They also had a ton of cats and two dogs. Most the cats were barn cats so they wouldn't let us pet them. We had pork taco's that were so good! We had a great visit and caught up! It was so much fun!

Saturday I went to my stake Women's mini conference. Our theme was Abundance in Christ. They had an opening session with a beautiful musical number then they split into classes. There were 3 sessions. The first class I took was "Take control of your life or it will take control of you" it was taught by a therapist. It was very helpful as I get stressed easily. It talked about being in the present and not worrying about the things you don't have control of. The 2Nd class I took was called "I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday." It talked about the importance of regular temple attendance and symbols. Shane and I just finished temple prep. Our goal is to got to the temple to be sealed this summer. The 3rd class I took was called "Picture This" It was mostly about how to take better pictures no matter what kind of camera you have. The classes were all uplifting. We had a luncheon after. They had a service project making blankets from squares that were knitted. I tried to learn how to knit but decided my hands are not very coordinated.

Well this is getting long so I will post more tomorrow on Mother's Day!
