Our Story

I started working at Central Utah Clinic in August of 2006. In April 2007 a new male extern started. He was not hired on yet just was getting experience after college. Before he started all the girls were joking about setting him up with varies people. We were not even sure if he was single. I met Shane on his first day of work when they showed him around. I didn't think much of anything since he was just a new employee. I thought my friend Hillary wanted to date him too.

On May 7, 2007 I saw Shane at lunch and asked if i could sit with him. It is totally unlike me to randomly sit with a guy I don't know. I figured he was knew though and I would be nice. I was going to try to get information for my friend Hilliary. We ended up having lunch together that whole week. It was not planned we were just at the same place. I was a little nervous at first but for some reason I felt comfortable with him and like we had some kind of connection. I called Shane on May 12 and asked if i could hang out with him while I waited to for one of my friends to be available. It ended up becoming a date. We went to a park near his apartment then to the movie "Ghost Rider." Shane officially called me his girlfriend on memorial day May 28, 2007.

Shane started pulling away the end of June early July. It was hard dating since we worked together and a lot of people were spreading rumors. I broke things off on July 6th. I didn't want to but I didn't feel like we were dating. We stayed friends and would hang out about once a month. We went to dinner on November 20th and decided to get back together. We both missed each other and still cared for each other. When we dated in the summer it seemed like we were more friends hanging out. Once we got back together it was more like courting real strong feelings were there our relationship blossomed. He spoiled me a lot with flowers and was always open with his feelings toward me. Shane proposed to me on my 25th birthday January 28, 2008. He gave me flowers and then we went to Tacono's restaurant. We had looked at rings the Saturday before together but I had no idea he was going to propose. Shane came over to unlock my door and dropped the keys. I teased him and said "don't you know how to unlock the door?" he said okay i just got to do this and took my hand and said, "you know I love you and I want to be with you forever." then he got down on his knee in the snow and said, "Will you marry me please Jennilee?" Of course I said yes. I was really shocked though especially since he knelt down in the snow. It was really pretty with light snow falling around us. We got married on April 4, 2008 at Mellor Hidden Meadows in Lehi, Utah. My father-in-law married us.
